Amy Polumbo Reveals Blackmail Pictures

Miss New Jersey, Amy Polumbo, has gone on the Today show to reveal the photos she says someone sent to pageant officials to get her to relinquish her crown.

Polumbo had previously gone on the show to reveal someone was blackmailing her, but refused to reveal anything about the photos. That, of course, sparked a bunch of rumors on the Internet--causing Polumbio to finally release them.

They show her drinking and in a number of juvenile, sexual poses.

Polumbo notes that she had put the photos on Facebook under a password protected account.

Okay folks, let's face some facts:

If you put photos on the Internet, they will be public forever. Chances are, someone will save them on their computer and the public will see them.

If you make a sex tape, it will be put on the internet...where...see above sentences.

I was recently researching the Internet for a presentation on Internet safety. I found a site where the teen band "The Jonas Brothers" were giving readers a chance to win a phone call from the band. In the comments section, a young girl from Knoxville gave her name, declared her undying love for the Jonas boys, then promptly listed her home address.

The wide, unchecked world of the 'net forces us to govern ourselves.
