Liberal Views Would Hurt Obama's Move To Center

Much attention has been paid to a questionnaire filled out by Mike Huckabee in a previous race, specifically due to his answers on AIDS. A similar questionnaire filled out by Barack Obama gives us a clue as to how the GOP would campaign against him in the fall.

Ironically, it's that questionnaire that has the Clinton campaign now attempting to go on the offense and challenge Obama's electability after months of Hillary being dogged by that issue.

In the questionnaire, Obama skews strongly left in his views.
When Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was seeking state office a dozen years ago, he took unabashedly liberal positions: flatly opposed to capital punishment, in support of a federal single-payer health plan, against any restrictions on abortion, and in support of state laws to ban the manufacture, sale and even possession of handguns.
Candidates currently must position themselves to win the support of their own party. After receiving the nomination, each candidate then moves to win "persuadable" voters--a move to the center.

Obama's views put the so-called "red" states in danger. Remember that the numbers show Rudy doing well against him. That's because the candidate that is more credible on moving to the center will win the next election.

Food for thought as both parties consider their nominee.

Huckabee has to gang up on the LGBT community to show us what a real man he is. If he has to pick on a group of American citizens why doesn't he pick a group that has the same rights, benefits & protections as he has? www.OUTTAKEonline/blog.html
