Hillary's Nuclear Strategy

The Clintons are all about acquiring power and they don't care about the damage left in their wake.

Advisers for Hillary Clinton are now planning their endgame strategy and it isn't pretty for the Democratic party. Clinton hopes to win Pennsylvania, Indiana, and North Carolina--and use the momentum boost to attract enough superdelegates to even the nomination fight.

But the nuclear strategy centers around getting her wins in Florida and Michigan to count.

Senator Clinton is also hoping to get an extra boost by adding delegates to her column from Michigan and Florida, and her advisers Wednesday have been discussing ways to deal with the conundrum in those states.

The Democratic Party stripped the two states of their delegates after they moved up their primaries to January, but Clinton remained on the ballot in both _as Obama did in Florida. She won in both Florida and Michigan and is now seeking to have the delegates counted.
Clinton campaign advisers can seek to get the delegates counted late in the contest--or demand a "do over" vote in both states.

Either way, the damage to Democratic chances in November would be tremendous. As I've commented before, Obama supporters are passionately invested in their candidate--a last minute win by Hillary using questionable tactics will depress the Democratic vote and cause newer and younger voters attracted by Obama to become dispirited and refuse to vote.

Hillary may ultimately propel her party into "no win" November.

Update: The campaign has begun...read here and here.
