McCain Needs To Challenge Obama; Media Won't

A new Rasmussen poll reports that 49 percent of voters believe the media is trying to help Barack Obama win. That includes 50 percent of independents. 45% believe a reporter would withhold information that would hurt his or her preferred candidate.

Since the media won't challenge Obama aggressively, National Review recommends that McCain do it. They remind readers that Hillary Clinton experienced success with this approach--just too late in the primary to help.
