8:41 pm: You taxed cigarettes, Pawlenty? Do you think you have to raise taxes sometimes when faced with deficits? Regrets tax increase, but it was a fee. And it turned out not to be needed.
8:43 pm: Bachmann, you voted to increase the cig tax too? Yes, I did because the same package included pro-life position.

8:45 pm: Santorum begs for time as Bachmann and Pawlenty scrap back and forth.
8:46 pm: Your turn, Santorum. Supercommittee question. Will only cut spending, not raise taxes. Compromise is necessary (but apparently will not negotiate on raising taxes).
8:48 pm: Which of you would commit to walk away from a 10:1 deal -- $10 in cuts, $1 in increases? All raise hands. Gingrich hates supercommittee--says go back to regular legislative order--no secret phony business with false choices.
