Constant readers of the blog know I like to mix and match Internet news with a similar theme.
So here's "food" for thought (pun intended) as you head into this holiday season: Your family might not actually exist.
NPR reports that it is possible that a highly-advanced civilization has created a highly-advanced computer reality in which we all live with simulated ancestry. Man, will that make my genealogist-wife angry!
The theory is that a civilization has already reached a level of advancement in technology that allows it to build "super-duper computers with fully conscious simulated minds living inside simulated realities." Could be possible...does your Sim think it is alive?
If anyone has done such a thing, it's probably Google. They've just created a new app that lets stressed out shoppers skip December.
